All
sponsors will be listed in the convention program. Donors of $2,500
or more will also be recognized with their name noted next to the
event sponsored. Contributions are sponsorships to APPL and not
in-kind donations. APPL staff and/or committee members will make
all decisions regarding the supplier and purchasing of materials.
Please contact the APPL office at 301-946-9475 ext 22
for more information on how to become a sponsor for any of
the following opportunities or to discuss another event you would
like to sponsor. In order to appear in
the on-site program as a convention sponsor, contributions must be
confirmed with APPL by January 10, 2005.
Opening Reception
(Sunday, March 6th)
The first evening gathering of the convention
will welcome approximately 500
convention participants and
exhibitors in a special event at the Doubletree Hotel Lloyd Center
Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Sponsors for this welcoming
event will be recognized with
large on-site signage and
introduced to attendees during the event, if desired.

APPL conventions
are known for their educational content and quality. Increasingly
convention sessions employ computers linked to audio visual programs
and slide and overhead presentations in addition to standard audio
equipment. Sponsors may choose to be recognized with an opening
visual image at presentations employing power point, slides, or
overhead transparencies or on signage at events employing other
media (images must be presented to APPL no later than February 18th,
2005).
Sponsorship (2): $5,000
Total
Sponsorship: $10,000
This special
evening will have an estimated attendance of 350 convention and
exhibitor participants who will celebrate the week with new and old
acquaintances. A sit-down dinner (with a cash bar) will be followed
by a lively auction, raising support for APPL’s scholarship program.
While participant event registration fees cover most of the
basic meal costs, sponsorship will help provide themed decorations,
entertainment, and auctioneer. Sponsor
will be recognized with large on-site signage.
Sponsorship: $5,000
Convention Program
The printed
two-color program will provide all convention attendees with
information needed to plan each day of their participation. The
program will be printed in a quantity of approximately 1,000 copies,
and will be distributed to all convention participants, exhibitors,
and APPL sponsors. Sponsor name and logo may be featured
prominently on the back cover of the program.
Thank You Global Interprint!
Each participant and exhibitor (estimated 800
individuals) receives a tote bag with APPL two-color logo on it to
use throughout the week and when shopping the trade show. Sponsor
may have company information inserted in the bags or logo imprinted
on an attachable luggage tag. The bags are useful throughout the
week and are popular take-home items that provide on-going awareness
throughout the year.
Sponsorship: $6,000
Each convention participant receives a name badge
holder to wear throughout the convention, and to carry business
cards, event tickets, and keys. Sponsor may have company name and
logo printed on the back of holder. Sponsor will provide APPL with
camera-ready logo and allow APPL to produce the badge holder to
ensure that dimensions of the holder match APPL badge stock. (Note:
This is only for convention participants, exhibitors will be issued
different badge holders. No company or individual may sponsor this
opportunity on a continual basis.)
