America's public lands are administered by a number of government agencies. The Department of Interior manages many of them through the National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management and the Bureau of Reclamation. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service and the Department of Defense’s Army Corps of Engineers also manage federal public lands. Others are administered by state and local government agencies.
